Well, that's just great ... a rodent as grass starter.
This stamp is for all Pokémon fans who really cannot understand why Chespin doesn't really belong to the grass starters.
Seriously, in all Pokémon games all the grass starters are REPTILIANS!! Snakes, geckos, tortoises even the mighty dinosaurs. All of them belong to the great reptilian family.
- Bulbasaur - is a kind of a dinosaur! - Chikorita - if this Pokémon envolved it looks like a brontosaur! - Treecko - is a gecko! - Turtwig - is a tortoise! - Snivy - is a snake!
So why is Chespin a rodent instead of a reptile? ... an exception? Or even the developers are out of ideas Who knows
If this thingy had been a grass starter Pokémon then the creators should have been designed another reptile-like Pokémon. That's it.
And so I came to this realization fans. Have fun xD
I totally agree! And I think they could've come up with a better X and Y grass starter than that! That's why I'll only like the pokemon from black and white, and before. No new pokemon for me.
So, what, Gamefreak shouldn't try something new for once? Have you considered the possibility that they realized they kept making grass starters as lizards and wanted to try something new? I mean, a forest chipmunk as a grass starter certainly makes more sense than a lizard. Lizards are more often associated with water than they are grass, so to be honest I think this pioneering they've done is a wonderful change of pace. I was getting tired of lizard grass types, honestly.
Haha, surely I understand your opinion fellow deviant. But actually I don't mind with the new Pokémon generation anymore. Of course the developers are trying to do something different than doing the same old thing. It was just a little realization from me so I think it doesn't need to take this statement that seriously.
MUH PATTERNS. I bet you think the fire starters are all based off of the Chinese zodiac as well, with Fennekin being a dog and all.
I mean, Arceus FORBID Gamefreak actually takes a grass starter's design in a different direction than what was in the previous five gens. I respect your opinion, but Chespin is still a grass starter.

Or a groundhog Pokemon.
I'm not sure if Nintendo is running out of ides for Pokemon. I prefer the old pokemon.
Even though I REALLY like reptile-based pokémon, I actually like the fact we have something different this time
Chespin is no Snivy, but it's still great
